Hot Seat Problem Solving
Moderator: TBA
In this fast-paced, nitty-gritty, "collaborative coaching" session, participants volunteer to be in the "hot seat" - a chair up on stage. The "hot seat" volunteer from the audience briefly shares a problem or opportunity with which they want help. The audience of "collaborative coaches" offers the volunteer, in rapid-fire fashion, ideas for how to address the problem or seize the opportunity. The "hot seat" volunteer listens and takes notes, without responding, during the rapid-fire suggestions. At the end of each 10-minute coaching session, the moderator offers a final comment and then the "hot seat" volunteer can briefly respond to the feedback and advice offered or simply end with a "thank you!"
With this format of an audience of "collaborative coaches", it allows everyone to participate, likely on a topic that matters to you, too, in a process that let's you see how others think through solutions, and gives you an invaluable AHA opportunity - Auctioneers Helping Auctioneers (AHA)!
Upon completing this session, you will be able to:
1. Formulate your own questions and scenarios about the benefit auction industry
2. Collaborate with other benefit auctioneers on problem solving
3. Determine the best way to handle challenging career situations
