NAA can help offset the cost of bringing a Speakers Bureau presenter to your event.

NAA provides up to $600 in travel reimbursement for one eligible speaker per year, August through July. To qualify, the speaker request and scheduling must be coordinated through NAA staff. Speakers booked independently by a state association are not eligible for reimbursement.

A Shared Partnership

Successful Speakers Bureau engagements are coordinated between NAA and the host state association. NAA manages the speaker connection and eligible reimbursement; the state association manages the on-site experience.

NAA Responsibilities

NAA will coordinate the speaker and program support.

• Provide up to $600 in travel reimbursement for one speaker per year, August through July
• Contact and confirm the speaker
• Provide speaker contact information, photo and biography
• Process eligible travel reimbursement after the event

After the event, submit eligible travel receipts through the NAA reimbursement form. Reimbursement is mailed to the state association after the event.

State Association Responsibilities

The host association will prepare for and support the engagement.

• Complete and submit the reimbursement format least 90 days before the event
• Arrange lodging, ground transportation and audio/visual needs
• Provide at least 15 minutes for an NAA presentation when all attendees are present
• Include the speaker in appropriate conference activities when possible
• Provide meals and speaker materials and cover transportation expenses not reimbursed by NAA
